Two Power Modes & Brightness-Adjustable Backlight

It can be powered by a DC adapter (included) or 2*AA battery (not included). The screen will turn off automatically in about 10-15 seconds to save power when using battery power. The screen stays on if you use a power adapter. Screen brightness can be adjusted with the SIXTH button beside the weather station.

Alert Setting of Fixed Temperature

Press "ALERT" button(the fifth button beside device) to enter temperature alert setting, press and hold "ALERT" button again to set highest or lowest temperature, the device will alert when it reach out to set temperature.

View the Moon Phase which is change accoring to the calender. Please make sure setting the correct time zone and date. The moon doesn't light up during New moon.

FAQ

Here are some tips about the backlight

1) When powered by batteries,to save power,backlight only lights up 15s(Power saving mode).Touch the "Snooze" button to wake up the backlight.

2) When plugged in the power cord,the backlight brightness button is the 6th button, right side. Press it to turn on the backlight full brightness. Press it again to begin dimming the light. Keep pressing. When the display gets to full dark, you can turn it back on for 15 seconds using the touch button on the top. To get back to continued full brightness,press the 6th button again.

Here are the steps to choose Time Zone and set the Time

1. choose time zone:

1) Press and hold the 1st button beside device to enter 24/12 hrs setting, press "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to choose, press the 1st button again to confirm setting and enter time zone setting.

2) Press “DOWN” button to set the time zone according to your location, and the turn on DST. (when Daylight saving time)

2. Set the time

1）Manual: After turn ON DST, you can continue to set the correct time and date.

2）Auto: After turn ON DST, leave it alone until it displays normal time, press and hold“UP” button for 5 seconds to manually begin to search WWVB signal. At this time, the backlight will turn dark, this process takes about 7 minutes and the backlight will light up again after the search. Then the time and date will be automatically set.
